Data Deletion Instructions

Your data belongs to you. This page explains how to delete the data that aubado stores when you connect your Meta (Facebook) Ads account. You can remove your data at any time, either through the app or by contacting us directly.

1. What data we store from Meta

When you connect your Meta Ads account to aubado, we store the following:

  • OAuth access tokens (encrypted) to securely access your Meta Ads data
  • Ad account IDs and names to identify your connected accounts
  • Campaign performance data including spend, impressions, clicks, and conversions
  • Business Manager account associations to organize your connected accounts

We only request read-only access. We cannot modify your campaigns, create ads, or spend your budget.

2. How to request data deletion

You have two options to delete your Meta-related data from aubado.

Option 1: Self-service in the app (instant)

  1. Log in to your aubado account at app.aubado.com
  2. Open the Configure panel
  3. Find your connected Meta Ads account
  4. Click Disconnect

This immediately removes all Meta-related data from our systems, including your access tokens, account associations, and cached performance data. No further action is needed.

Option 2: Email us

Send an email to hello@aubado.com with:

  • The email address associated with your aubado account
  • A request to delete your Meta Ads data

We will process your request and confirm deletion by email.

3. What happens after your request

  • Self-service disconnect: Your Meta data is deleted immediately upon disconnecting in the app.
  • Email requests: We process deletion requests within 7 business days, and no later than 30 days as required by GDPR.
  • Confirmation: For email requests, we will send you a confirmation once your data has been removed.

What gets deleted:

  • OAuth access tokens
  • Ad account IDs and names
  • All cached campaign performance data (spend, impressions, clicks, conversions)
  • Business Manager account associations

What is not affected:

  • Your aubado account (email, name, preferences)
  • Data from other connected platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.)

To delete your entire aubado account, including all platform data, email us at hello@aubado.com.

4. Automatic data removal

When you disconnect your Meta Ads account in the app, all associated data is automatically and permanently deleted from our systems. There is no additional step or waiting period required.

If your Meta Ads access token expires or is revoked from Meta's side, we are no longer able to fetch new data. However, previously cached data remains stored until you explicitly disconnect the account or request deletion.

5. Data retention

As long as your Meta Ads account remains connected, we retain your performance data to power the features you use (budget tracking, performance monitoring, and reporting).

If you do not request deletion, your Meta data is kept for the duration of your active aubado subscription. When you cancel your subscription, all data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

We do not sell, share, or use your advertising data for any purpose other than providing the aubado service to you.
